THE TRAVLR STORY

It began with an inspired moment…

More than a decade ago, Jen and Spencer took a much-anticipated vacation with their family to La Quinta, CA. While the desert sunsets and views of the Santa Rosa mountains were breathtaking, the young couple wasn’t completely satisfied with the experience – Spencer spent his nights slumped into the center of the caved-in mattress, Jen became the family “concierge” spending all her time researching, calling and making arrangements for the group entertainment all the while the entire family embarrassingly huddled in dining chairs around the coveted living room love seat to watch a movie together in the evenings. It was real “quality” time together! They spent their vacation dreaming and collaborating about ways to enhance this group travel experience – creating more open concept spaces, outfitting furniture and amenities suitable to accommodate the occupancy of the home, a large kitchen to prepare meals for the kids, and more personalized insights about the best ways to explore the local community.

Ultimately, the couple took a leap and quit their careers in digital marketing and law to establish a company that combined the luxury, space, and character of private vacation homes with personalized service, modern technology and a host of resort-style amenities that only 5-star hotels have traditionally offered before.
