I designed this place to feel like a real escape. 3 private acres in the Cahuilla Hills above Palm Desert, with a main Spanish-style hacienda and two separate casitas tucked into the canyon. 7 bedrooms, sleeps 18 overnight, and enough outdoor space that a group of 16 never feels on top of each other.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
The design. Every room was put together personally, from the furniture down to the artwork and the small ceramic details. If you've ever wanted to see how I think about layering texture, color, and light in a real home, this is that.
The amenities. Pool and hot tub. Sauna and cold plunge for recovery. Private pickleball court. Bocce. Two outdoor bars. A 1,800 square foot event deck overlooking the canyon, perfect for sunset dinners or morning yoga. Fire pit. Canyon stairs that climb up into the hills behind the property. A full theater room inside. Designated yoga and meditation areas across the grounds.
The location. 5 minutes to El Paseo for shopping and dinner. 15 minutes to Indian Wells. 30 minutes to the Empire Polo Fields for Coachella and Stagecoach. 40 minutes to Palm Springs and PSP airport. Just under an hour to Joshua Tree National Park.
The privacy. The property sits on 3 acres at the end of a quiet road. You'll hear birds and wind, not neighbors. Casa Tierra is established 2022 and was recently renovated top to bottom. Whether you're here for a milestone birthday, a family reunion, a wellness weekend, a wedding adjacent stay, or a creative offsite, the place was built to host all of it.

Self check-in via smartlock. Access codes and arrival info are emailed 5 days before your stay. The full property is yours, including all 7 bedrooms, both casitas, the pool, hot tub, sauna, cold plunge, pickleball court, bocce, event deck, theater room, and all outdoor spaces.
Driveway parks up to 6 vehicles (On-site EV charging is available for an additional fee). Street parking is not permitted. Oversized vehicles are not permitted.
If you are looking to play golf, we are minutes from PGA West with three public courses to choose from; The TPC Stadium, The Greg Norman and The Jack Nicklaus Tournament. Enjoy some of the many world-class events like the Humana Challenge (previously the Bob Hope Classic). Or if you enjoy tennis, minutes away is the home of the BNP Paribas Open Tennis Classic at Indian Wells Top Rated Tennis Stadium, held early to mid-March, with over 300 of the top-rated tennis players in the world. In April comes the Coachella and Stagecoach Music Festivals just minutes down the road hosted at the famous Polo Grounds where you can also enjoy top-ranked polo matches free of charge and have a tailgate picnic with your friends at the same time!

Your reservation "resort fee" includes the cost of pool heat (up to 80-82 degrees). This fee is not included on Airbnb bookings.

Our vacation rentals are pet friendly. We allow for up to two pets per property for a fee of $150 per pet.
MUSIC
The property has zoned indoor and outdoor speakers. Connect your Spotify or Apple Music through the Sonos app on the house Wi-Fi. Per Palm Desert ordinance, outdoor speakers are silenced from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Indoor speakers play any time. Personal outdoor speakers are not permitted and trigger a $5,000 city fine.

As a designer, I especially appreciated all of the attention to detail throughout the property. It felt incredibly cozy and is truly one of the nicest Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. There are plenty of spaces for people to gather or sprawl out, and all of the amenities you could want. The gardens are also beautifully designed. lush, private, and especially impressive given the desert setting.
We loved that there are multiple homes on the property, which allowed everyone to have a little more privacy and their own space while still feeling like we were all together. Sonos throughout was amazing!
My only suggestion would be to reconsider the cost of EV charging. The rate felt a bit high for charging.

There’s plenty of space to enjoy some alone time, while still having great areas like the outdoor dining table and main living room to bring everyone together. We made good use of the pool, TV room, and kitchens - everything was well-supplied and easy to use. The casitas allowed for a lot of down time away from it all and the various bars, fridges, and ice machines kept the good times going the entire weekend. The property was stunningly gorgeous and the views expansive - we never wanted to leave!!! Can’t recommend this place enough and the hosts were responsive and communicative. "We reserved Casa Tierra for our wedding celebration with our small family and close friends. I had envisioned the property providing a perfect backdrop for the event. But it was so much more! The property is even more beautiful than photos could ever show. Not a detail has been missed. We used every bed available and every guest was beyond comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked for our group. Courtney was an excellent contact for plans relating to the wedding. Our family stayed onsite, while our small group of friends stayed at nearby airbnbs and hotels and car pooled via uber without issue to the property. We also made use of the concierge service to host a beautiful rehearsal dinner the night before. My only regret was that we didn’t book it for a week; 4 nights wasn’t enough to enjoy everything this property had to offer! The pool was amazing. And there are so many special places across the property to hang out. The sound system was incredible. Seamless check-in and check-out. We can NOT wait to go back!! What a magical and special trip!"

"I mean holy cow!! Everyone knows the photos are better than the real thing but THIS PLACE the photos did not do justice. This was a retreat. My entire family stayed here for my wedding and we all had our own space with huge rooms to stay in then an insane amount of common rooms for us to hangout. We all swam in the pool, had a pickle ball tournament, woke up early for yoga on the deck and watched a movie on our final night. I genuinely had a magical time here and will be booking again for our anniversary! I can’t say enough good things about this stay! The host responded within minutes every time I had a question and the house was SPOTLESS. We are so so happy with how this vacation week turned out."

"I had a group of 16 spend a long weekend at Casa Tierra for my 40th birthday. I knew the property looked amazing from the pictures, but nothing quite prepared me for when we got there. The entrance was quite grand, and I immediately felt excited as the gates opened. Upon walking into the property, there was already soft, peaceful music playing. The pool area was set up with rolled up towels on each Lounger. The property itself is just beautiful. There are so many different areas to convene; Pickleball, Jen recommended a great yoga Teacher and we did yoga on the platform, dinner in the courtyard and at the grand dining room table, karaoke in The dark media room. The night landscaping lights were gorgeous. I texted the property management company a few times asking for clarification and got a helpful response within five minutes every time. So amazing The only thing to be prepared for is that the loft bed space is quite small, probably better for a single person or younger people."

There was plenty of things for everyone in the group to do including swimming, pickle ball, yoga, video games, bocci ball, jenga, board games, and more. The property is in a secluded location and looks exactly as shown in photos. We couldn't have found a better place. Close to town, restaurants, hiking, shopping, nothing was too far away. What an incredible vacation destination. We came here with 4 other families for a summer send-off and boy were we impressed. The grounds are spectacular and Bobby has truly thought of everything when designing each space. We never wanted to leave!!! I joked that I want to be buried here so I can haunt Casa Tierra for all eternity. With that said, don’t worry - no ghosts. Lots of beautiful hummingbirds though!

This home is ideal for group gatherings, with two spacious indoor tables and large outdoor tables that comfortably accommodate everyone. The kitchen is fully equipped, with plenty of bowls, plates, and silverware—perfect for hosting a large group. Cooking enthusiasts will appreciate the well-appointed kitchen, although it's worth noting that the oven is a conduction stovetop which can be a challenge. Throughout the property, there are cozy enclaves with seating, perfect for relaxing, and a lovely fire pit that adds to the ambiance. The outdoor activities and game room was a hit with us. Rented this house for our daughter's 15-person micro-wedding in May. It was the perfect venue with endless picture-perfect options for photos, meals, and activities. It's like having your own private resort. The pool area is amazing. In addition, the house was clean, well appointed, and rooms are well laid-out for everyone to not feel like they were on top of each other. There are quite a few steps both inside and out so if you have anyone with mobility issues it could be challenging. The TRAVLR staff was very responsive and helpful with all of our questions. We had a number of pretty specific inquiries about types of dishes and glasses, etc. (for the wedding dinner) and they were always prompt and thorough in their replies. They even tracked down and shipped some bathing suits that were left behind. We appreciated their attention to detail. Casa Tierra exceeded all expectations - I just wish we had stayed longer!

"Travlr was amazing leading up to and during our stay at Casa Tierra. We hosted a micro wedding there for 16 people, all who stayed at the house and they were more than accommodating. Paige would answer my emails with all my questions promptly and made sure we had all the dishes and things we needed to make our weekend everything and more. They helped us find a chef, massages to come to the house and made a lot of other suggestions in the area. 10/10 I would stay at Casa Tierra again and I would book through Travlr again in a heartbeat."

Since there are winding paths and stairs, it’s not the place for anyone with mobility issues. We definitely got our steps in. The pool was great as well as the hot tub. We also loved the screening room! Casa Tierra was designed with such care and love. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. There is no shortage of drink refrigerators. Ice machines were great. We used everything this great vacation spot had to offer except the fire pit unfortunately because we ended up having some wind the night we were going to use it. There are two 1/2 baths - off the kitchen and down by the pool. The four bedrooms in the main house had their own baths en-suite. The upper casita has a Jack n Jill bathroom with a King bedroom & full bunk beds. The pool casita has bedroom, full bed, bath & kitchenette. Jen was a great host and we will definitely be back!"

Everyone had their own space to retreat, and the shared spaces were perfect for gathering. Every last detail was considered, and the lighting at night is simply gorgeous. Not mentioned yet is the pickleball court, which looks like it will be ready soon! The TVs throughout the house are Samsung Frames which allowed us to use them as shared screens for our annual planning as a group. "Absolutely stunning property. We had a very large group and it was perfect. Immaculately clean, very comfortable inside and out. Even in the dead of summer (august) the pool temp was very comfortable. We get a large (16+) group together every year and this was the best property we’ve stayed at by far. Only thing worth pointing out is that the bunk beds appeared to be larger than they actually are in the photos. It does say “double” which is their actual size. They are directly connected by a bathroom in the upper casita which wasn’t fully clear from the photos. Other than that there is absolutely nothing that wasn’t great about this property. 10/10"

"Casa Tierra was by far the most beautiful place we've ever stayed in, down to the last detail of every room and outdoor area. The photos were gorgeous, but seeing it all in person absolutely floored us. We stayed here for our wedding weekend, and Casa Tierra made it all that more special—the love and attention to detail that has been given to every space filled us up with joy from the first second we stepped in the door. Jen was incredible to work with when we had questions leading up to our stay, and the response time for any of our questions was always quick and done with so much kindness. We first found out about Casa Tierra on Bobby's social media last year (we are huge fans) and knew we had to stay there for our wedding—it was the best decision we could have made and we will surely be going back to celebrate in years to come. Thank you, team Casa Tierra!!"

"Booking this home was an easy procedure start to finish, they were one of the only vacation rental companies who would allow us a small event on property. Paige, specifically was so responsive and made sure to have all the accurate details for our stay and really made us feel comfortable throughout. The property was as picture, or maybe even more beautiful and surpassed our expectations. During our stay we had the pool maintenance guy stop by to ensure that the pool would be heated and hot tub fully working. The front patio area served well for our cocktail hour while the lounge area down the stairs served as our ceremony space. Perfect size for 24 people intimate wedding. Overall we were pleased with our interactions with StayTravlr and would consider them again in the future."

"Bobby's place was absolutely gorgeous. The property was huge and felt like we were at our own hotel/campus. There were many great gathering spaces, including a fire pit with a wonderful view and multiple dining rooms/living rooms where great memories were made/shared. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were well appointed. Whenever we had (minor) issues, the team responded and resolved them quickly. Everyone in our group loved staying here and can't wait to come back!"

Casa Tierra was outstanding- the thought put in to the design, flow, and ambience of the property made for one of the most memorable weekends of our lives! From the beautiful grounds to the multitude of outdoor hangout spots, we were able to seamlessly flow throughout the property, from the gorgeous pool to the outdoor kitchen and grilling area. The management was incredibly attentive to detail both before and during our trip, even offering to drop off an extension cord for a device that we brought ourselves to set up outside within hours of initial text. I cannot wait for the opportunity to stay at Casa Tierra again, and plan to as often as we can get away!

"One word comes to mind when I think about my stay at this house...perfection. The house is the nicest and most amazing place I have ever stayed at. The attention to detail is incredible. Everything about the property oozes luxury. Bobby and his team thought of everything. Each room is better than the next. The house itself is huge with tons of space to enjoy with a group or by yourself. The pool area is better than most 5-star resorts and the dining terrace rivals a European getaway. The management team was communicative and friendly, answering our questions quickly and well which just adds to the pure bliss you feel when you stay here. I'm sad that my trip is over but just so happy it happened."
