See the Longest Running Haunted House in Coachella Valley

Parkwil Manor at Sandy’s Haunt is a 100% volunteer operated haunted house that runs events all throughout the month of October and is an absolutely must see if you’re visiting the area during operational times. They have different running times based off the day and how late into the month it gets, and you can pre-purchase your tickets or VIP Fast Pass online to make sure you can fit it into your schedule. If you’re planning to visit this location later in the month, particularly Halloween weekend, it is highly recommended for you to get the Fast Pass. Lines will be long, and the event runs all night.

“Hotel Killifornia” and “The Slaughterhouse” are the themes for the 2021 Halloween season. As a company that prides themselves of using genuine props wherever possible, in addition to having a dedicated cast of trained scare actors, this experience is not for the faint of heart. Be sure to have a look online to see if the experience is right for you, as the team here will be doing their absolute best to bring the Halloween season to life.

Howl-O-Ween at the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens

If you’re looking to attend a Halloween event that’s friendly for all ages, the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens runs this event on October 30 – 31, 9am – 4pm. In addition to the regular attractions available at the Zoo, children 12 and under receive a bag of treats upon entry, and there will be a self-guided scavenger hunt available for all visitors. A full program will detail the events that happen during the Howl-O-Ween event, and costumes are encouraged. Due to capacity limitations, however, tickets are limited and must be pre-booked online. Multiple Themed Experiences at Escape Room Palm Springs

Many escape rooms have horror and serial killer themes, making them a perfect spot to check out during any October visit, and Escape Room Palm Springs is no exception. There are six different themes available to experience, three of which are perfect fits for a scary experience.

First, there’s Vampire’s Lair, an experience that takes place in 1690s Salem. You’ll have to work together with your group to uncover the secret to reclaiming the cursed vampire’s coffin after his spurned lover curses him for calling off their wedding.

A Unique Visual Arts Experience at Robolights

Started back in 1986 by visual artist Kenny Irwin, Robolights has all kinds of unique sculptures to check out, including a variety of haunting and surreal builds that perfectly match the holiday season. The property is set up to take you through long pathways that run throughout the four-acre property, and the displays are made of a variety of found and/or donated materials. This is a unique, must-see experience that has been talked up on an international scale, so stop by and see some of the world’s most unique visual art.

The Tent of Terror

Located roughly an hour-long drive from Palm Desert the Tent of Terror is definitely worth the drive for anyone looking to experience a terrifying experience over a decade in the making. There are a variety of different costumed volunteers and setups, welcoming crowds of guests ever since their original opening in Murrieta.
